Shogun, I manage building projects for the railways. My most recent notable project was designing and building a cafeteria to cater for around 60 London Underground train drivers. That finished about 8 or so months ago and since then I haven’t been given anything as interesting. I’ve recently joined a new consultancy and hope to get involved fairly soon with the London Underground station modernisation projects.

Very interesting, Andydog. That has to give you a great sense of accomplishment when you complete a project like that.

I'm in the information technology field. I'm a Project Manager - managing several contracts involving biometrics, surveillance, smartcards for physical security, US border control, visa/passport processing, etc.

Interestingly, the United Kingdom is far more advanced (and Europe as a whole) compared to the US in the development of these technologies and their applications. Maybe you have been aware of the implementation of surveillance technologies in UK railway locations.
