    Kaiser Wilhem - Madrid, Spain
    Bongo - Fetsund, Norway
Paddy the Scot - no idea
    Iron Jackson - Dortmund, Germany

So we got 3 players in Europe - 1 timezone
Don, you´re 6 hours behind (Eastern time).
    Paddy ?

I´d like to propose this order:

    Don
    Kaiser Wilhem
    Bongo
    Iron Jackson

Paddy will fit in depending on his location.

    Any suggestions ?

    BTW: Random settings is o.k.
    Good point Iron!

Judging by Paddy's timestamp, I'd say he's from the east coast of Australia. So, I guess the order will be:

    Don: Romans
    Kaiser Wilhem: Germans
    Bongo: ?
    Paddy: ?
    Iron Jackson: Russians

    MAP, again, is:
    standard continents, 70% water*
    random barbarians
    random climate
    random age
    random temperature

70% might be more enjoyable than 80% for 5 civs.

    GAME RULES:
    domination: y
    conquest: y
    cultural: y
    diplomatic: y
    space race: y
    civ-specific: y
    cultural-linked: no
    cultural-conv.: y
    random seed: y
    accel. prod.: y
elim, reg, mass reg, princess, victory point location: no

    GAME LIMITS:
    none

got your email address Iron, thanks. If ya'll (southern accent) could send me yours as well, we can start!

My civ-list was in prioritized order so I'll have carthage.

        The settings are fine.

The playing order seems ok but we should perhaps base it on when we are able to play rather than where we live? As this is a PBEM game I shoud have no problem playing a turn while I am at work ( 0900-1700 GMT). When I get my home connected to the internet again(I have just moved) I'll also be able to play until 0100 GMT. Just a thought.

        My e-mail adress:

Edit: A final question, what version? PTW 1.27(that is the latest, right?)

I also own the 1.27 version. I´ve heard there is no problem playing against 1.21 players
For next two weeks i´ll be able to play practically anytime between 11:00 and 00:00 GMT. But I start school on 17th, and then i´ll play specially between 14:00 and 20:00 GMT.

Order of play and Summary so far:
1.Bongo:Carthage, 0900-1700 gmt and eventually till 0100 gmt
            2.Kaiser Wilhem: Germans, 1100-0000 gmt
            3.Don: Romans, 1400-1600 gmt and 2100-0500 gmt

            Paddy: ????????????????????????

                  @ Don:

Does that mean I'm the host and shall start the game ?

                  Edit:
If yes, which difficulty level ?

We play without AI so it doesn't matter that much. I'll vote for regent but I'll also accept monarch.

I took the liberty to start the game. There are some minor changes, the order is the same but I play the first turn.

                        Players/Order/Emails:
                        1.Bongo: Carthage,
tom-rune (dot) dolva (at) ffi (dot) no

I set regent as the difficulty and turned 'accelerated production' off.

I sent the game to Kaiser Wilhelm. I used 'PTW PBEM game' as the mail subject and named the save 'to kaiser wilhelm, 4000BC.sav'. We should use this type of naming as an convention so we avoid the saves going into the SPAM-bin

Remember to set your passwords this turn.

Oh, if you disagree with the changes/decisions I made we can always start over. Setting the game up only takes about 10 minutes.

Edit: 'scrambled' the email-adresses a bit

I have received a note that Paddy the Scot does not wish his EMail address to be posted on a public forum.
(something most of us can understand)

In respect of his wishes, I have edited his address out.
If he has changed his mind since he sent me the note, he can always repost it in this thread, no harm no foul. However, if he doesn't wish it posted here... you can always get it from him via PM.

Sorry if I have caused any problems.. but I did have to respond to his note to me.

                            Carry on.
                            Keep on Civin'

I'm fine with that, actually I share Paddys view on e-mail-privacy.

Paddy, do you consider the way I wrote the addresses to be 'safe'?

Don, you may want to edit the adresses in your post as well.
