There's going to be some delays for me in getting XP, so I've tried to install Civ 3 under Win 2000 Pro. It's not working properly (screen is distorted).
Unless someone knows a fix for this, I won't be able to take my next turn until I get XP (Hopefully middle of this week)

We won't be able to use the new 1.21 patch unless everyone has it first. Even then, I'm not sure if the save can be used with the new version. The only thing I know for sure is that if you save it with 1.21, it can't be opened with 1.14. Unless you do a dual install (described at the top of this forum), you might want to stay with 1.14 until everyone else has upgraded for sure.

I have already played 1.14f games with 1.21f and there seems to be no problem.
And now everybody can patch to 1.21, all versions are available for download.Comment

Great news all. Have just finished installing XP, and found a workaround for the stupid refresh rate glitch (Infogrames were useless.... I doubt I'll ever buy another title for them except for Civ stuff.)
