by the way, it's clear that you GNP isn't that good... your cities are spread out over the whole globe. they won't help your productivity for quite a long time.

GNP is calculated before corruption, so relates to the total gross commerce generated by all tiles worked in the empire. Obviously those of you with rivers and extra resources such as gold, plus more cities/population and roaded tiles, will have the best GNP.

yep, republic is killing me with the support costs for my dozens of workers improving my rubbish land, forcing me to slow down my research, but it's probably still better than monarchy or despotism with the extra commerce and with the extra food from irrigated grasslands, i can actually create more workers fasterOriginally posted by Aqualung71
