              Hello,

First, I know this is going slow but we will continue anyway.
I think it's just for the moment things are going very slow and that it will be faster in the future.

              Second, G.P.S. to Ljube.

Third, try to keep the save file name format the way it is.

C3C_Silesia_[Turn number]_[Your placing in turn order]

So for me it would be: C3C_Silesia_2_1
              And for Ljube: C3C_Silesia_2_2

It's as simple as eating an ice cream during a hot summer day!

I already played 3950 BC turn or turn 2 as you call it. I played it on Friday 3rd June. Please resend the right save: Turn 3 or 3900 BC save turn. Thanks.

                    oh my goodness

and what of other formats. my favourite which is defaulted into my games playing system is:

Silesia, to Charles Bronson, 3950 BC.SAV

ie: Game Name, Name of Player sent to, Date of the save

also there are several other formats...

Indeed. Your suggestion isn't so very different from mine but instead of the date, which shows when you're playing the game, the turn number could be more interesting, at least that's what I think.
Yes, you can figure the turn number out but it's more lengthy.

And instead of name of player sent to you use a number of the former player. Much easier.
Why should I know to whom the former player is sending the e-mail to, it's me of course.

And please tell me about the other formats. I'm curious.

As for the save. I have sent an e-mail to Chug74 asking for the right save.

                        more interesting is right

except when you are in a few games, and trying to marry the save with the right date

as to why put who it is too in, welll I see that as simple. I get the save for this game. It has the game name first, then tells me this is my save to play, then the date we are at, which helps me to quickly tell just how efficient this group of players is.

then when I sent the save on, I have the persons name who gets the save.

these both then are filed, allowing me to
                        1) open my old saves any time I want and have a look at what my world was like 2000 years ago etc {my own great library}
                        2) to instantly be able to retrieve any lost save that another player needs etc

I also find that using the system that comes with Civ, the game date, far easier than having to go look up the turn number etc

as to other formats, the following are from saves I receive:

BigFree of the Hittites to PTS, 270 BC.SAV
                        Epic Game, 2950 bc.sav
                        europe-to-England-bc0250.sav
Rasputin of the Aztecs, 3900 BC.SAV
GUNSLINGERS, 2150 BC, Ljube to Paddy.SAV
                        IC2test2 Paddy 2550BC.sav
                        Paddy of Mongolia,in the mood, 1050 BC.SAV
                        tournament #4, from korea, 90 bc.sav
                        McMeadows, Paddy, 10 BC.SAV

Of course you didn't get 3900 BC.

Did you get 3950 BC save? If yes, was it really 3950 BC or 4000 BC labelled as 3950 BC? To determine this open the save and read the year in the lower right part of the screen.

Since you are the last player, when you play your 3950 BC save, press enter and are prompted to save the game, the year indicator in the lower right part of your screen will change to 3900 BC. You still should name your save 3950 BC since that is the year you played. Michelin should name his next save 3900 BC being the first player in the chain.

The way to be sure you sent the most current save to the next player is to form a separate game sub-folder for each game (name it Silesia for the game), then to sort all files in this sub-folder by date and time of creation using windows explorer and finally to attach the most recently created file. This procedure is recommended as it is not uncommon for any player to send the wrong file.

I suggest a step by step procedure to help you determine all of the above:

                              1) Check if you received 3950 BC save. If no go to step 4.
                              2) Check if you played 3950 BC save. If no, play it again.
                              3) Send 3950 BC save to Michelin. End.
                              4) Do you keep your older emails? If no go to step 6.
                              5) Check through your older emails received from self biased to determine if you received 3950 BC save from him, but possibly labelled incorrectly. Open each save you received from him. Go to step 7.
                              6) Search through the saves saved on your hard drive to determine if you have 3950 BC save which could be labelled incorrectly. Open each save you received from self biased which is stored on your hard drive.
                              7) If you found 3950 BC save play it and go to step 3.
                              8) Ask self biased to send you 3950 BC save. End.
