I understand you do not want to have me play, nor play pbems with me. I am happy to move on, and as stated many times would like to play this game.
I do not have any saves prior to the one I sent Gunner last. I understand you would like to have this restarted from before the two towns were razed by myself.
Please know this happened some time back, and I am sure no one has that save. If you do, then send it on.
I have McMeadows password, and will happily change it for him.
Again, I need the save from Gunner.

I have spoken at length with the Great Doc of Pbem Land.
Andydog, Shogun Gunner, MickeyJ
Please accept my apologises for unbalancing your games.
The three of you are indeed far superior players to myself, and obviously take these games far more seriously than I do.
My goal with playing civ is to have fun. It is a form of relaxation, very much like a good game of chess. Thus a place where I can explore options, try out various strategies, even make mistakes. If I press the wrong key, so be it, just like taking my fingers off the chess piece. I understand that you do not accept my reason, nor anything I have said about staying in the game.
I will hand this over to McMeadows as soon as I get the save.
So to I will hand over 1799 to McMeadows. This I will reset the password to now and send on, as one of you is holding that save in the obvious hope that I will never return.
Personally, I can only hope that he whips the three of you into a place where you will decide that you never want such public humiliation ever again.
Andydog, Shogun Gunner, MickeyJ, thank you all for the games, and the positive memories that I have from these experiences.
May your nights be filled with terror and your days with the hope the sun never sets.

Firstly to Paddy's mates: You clearly have little understanding of the situation. You are not helping matters in the slightest. Please close the door on your way out.
Paddy, I'm truly sorry you were hurt by this. To us it appeared you were chucking the towel in for the fourth time and when we finally took issue, instead of saying "sorry guys, I pressed some wrong keys etc", what came across was "humph. I play civ how I want and bugger the rest of you guys in the game". If you make a big mistake with key presses or whatever during a turn then I would prefer if you just reloaded the save and get it right. This is a friendly match afterall, and we all want to enjoy an exciting challenging game, full of intense and colourful negotiations, and it is always great buzz to feel threatened by a feisty neighbor such as yourself!
Now, if we got the wrong end of the stick then again, please accept apologies. Are you willing to continue this game? If so, are you happy with how your civ currently stands? You mention you abandoned those cities some turns ago, I notice your new capital's boarders haven't yet grown, I wouldn't have a problem with going back if you want to replay (I think the rest will be okay with that?). If you have good reason for it then game on, lets crank this baby up again!

Paddy, I also would prefer you to stay in as well, and I don't really have an opinion about your strategies, risky moves, whatever. I totally agree that it's right to play the game the way you want.
However, we simply ask that if you want to play - great. That is the preferable solution. If you decide that you don't want to play, don't abandon all your cities or purposely destroy yourself. You say you are not doing in that in this game, so I take you at your word.
I will leave the decision to you Paddy whether you want me to play the current save in my inbox (300 AD) or if you want to go back a few turns. Your choice.
I feel better that there was some meaningful dialogue on this issue. Thank you Paddy.Haven't been here for ages....

I don't appreciate you barging in expressing a hostile opinion against us without all the facts. Apparently you think "appalling behavior" is stopping the progress of game to discuss an issue of everyone's concern. There has been zero hostility directed towards Paddy.
Perhaps I will start judging you from a far, and start posting my partially informed opinion of you in all your threads for your mates to see and where I have no business.
Think about it, but please just don't post about it here.Haven't been here for ages....

Thank you for your grace in this matter Shogun Gunner.
If I was leaving I would either have sort a replacement or retired my civ.
I have replayed the save before the two cities were razed.
As posted above, that is with Andy now. As you may note he received two saves this night. One was with the password change for Mac, the other I played after Andy's post.
