I have trouble accepting that you were applying 'strategy' when you gifted nearly all your cities to your enemy the Germans, when you raised core cities containing wonders that were not under threat, and when you sent in injured daymos into the lands of others. You are much more intelligent than that. I'm sad to say I think it is far more likely you were quitting those games. I don't have a problem with people quitting if they feel the game is untenable. But to do so in a manner that ruins the game for everyone else is just not on. It would have been better if you offered your game to someone else who was willing to play the game out. Now I worry that our other games are going to have the same problem at some point.

You are right Paddy that you can play a game however you choose, but you must also consider other people's enjoyment of the game in your actions.

I expect you will now offer to resign from all our games. I honestly hope we can continue playing, but only if we all agree to play in a sporting manner.

I hope you see where we are coming from in all this. It is only concern for our current and future games that we bring this issue up. Lets not make the issue a show stopper - lets get back to having fun!

I am not resigning from these games. If I was I would retire my civ, just as I have in 5 games these past 2 weeks. Games that have become so slow I no longer have any idea what they are about.

That is not new. Those cities went that way turns ago. Yet they are my cities, not yours.

If I was leaving I would retire my civs. Think of this Andy, I come here for my enjoyment, so quit bellyaching about my play style. It is old you complaining of what I do. Also I never heard you complain when your team, the Bards, abandoned all but one of its towns in the C3CDG.

Nor did I here you scream when I gifted you more than "one" tech in this game recently.

I suggest that you look to your own nation, and be thinking what magnificent gesture you should be making to my people for the techs.

A player who is prepared to do that is not a player I wish to play with. A player who does that is self centred, thoughtless, and irrational. I would never ever do something that ruins the game for ALL other players. I'd be ashamed of myself if I did.

So far you have avoided giving any reasons whatsoever for your erratic illogical irrational play style that has lead to you dieing three times so far. Paddy I don't know of a strategy yet where abondoning cities has proven succesful.

We've spent a year and a half playing this game and I'd hate all that time to have gone to waste. It's been a great game so far and if you aren't up for finishing it please say so and we'll look for a replacement.

Paddy, you are our friend. However, your strategy of abandoning cities always leads to your civs being destroyed, retired, etc. This ruins the game experience for the other players. For some reason, you just won't understand that viewpoint. You are simply killing yourself off in all the games we are in together. It appears to us, that you would rather not play in PBEMs with us.

We have invested 1 1/2 years into this game and at least the three of us are enjoying it. Andy, Mike and I have discussed this and are in agreement on this issue. Can I ask you to post or send your password to one of us?

We would like to find a replacement player for this game since you are just killing yourself off anyway.

Paddy, seeing as you were the administrator in this game, it would be better if could you please go back to the turn before you started disbanding your cities, reset a new password and forward it directly to McMeadows.

I'm truely sorry it has come to this. I hoped we could have worked it out.
