  • Great Armada PBEM "Drake"

Great Armada PBEM based on the Great Armada scenario.

    Turns : 120, 6-month turn from 1580 to 1640

    Civs : 8

    Catholic locked alliance
    Spain
    Irish
    French League

    Protestant locked alliance
    England
    France
    Netherlands

    Freebees
    Scotland
    North Africa

    Players :

    - Loulong : Irish
    - Beta : Dutch
    - ChrisiusMaximus : Scots
    - Paddy the Scot : England
    - McMeadows : Maghrib (North Africa)
    - snoopy369 : Spain
    - Makahlua : France
    - Modo 44 : League

To play you need to download the main art file (23 MB) + the patch that can be found at CFC (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=104091), rather than here as there is so few activity in the creation forum at Poly I am not trying to update it.

I am ready to help anybody who has problems installing the scenario.

        Ah : Good !

        Any prefered civ ?

BTW I advise any interested player to test the game in SP before as it is pretty specific (civs, units, techs...).

LL - try Paddy the Scot, Modo44, Aqualung71, McMeadows, and Wittlich.

Send them PM's with links to this thread.

And I will play the Dutch please. With the title of Prince VanderBeta.

Give Paddy the English. With the name of Lord Paddington (of Wessex).

And Aqua gets the Spanish. Duke of Aquataine.

And Lou - do you want the French? Prince LouLongere?

                :-)

Now I am not sure I understand. Should I contact them to ask them in or have you already done it and know their preferences ?

I would prefer another civ than France as I am playing them in another PBEM at CFC.

I think Beta was just making suggestions and Paddy would most likely take the english as he loves to play them.

He is out of town right now but should be back thursday, you can pm here and he will see it before then not sure about NBetas other suggested players I dont know them as well as beta but it would be worth you PM'ing them as they are good reliable players

Forgot to add the threads here sink so fast its easy for a set up thread to be lost so you did right to bump it

Yes I did not feel too ashamed bumping my thread as you have so much more action than us (I mean CFC).

I thought Paddy would have preferred the Scots (because of his nickname !).

PM all guys mentionned by Beta.

Remember to download, install and playtest the SP version or the first few turns you will be at a loss.

more than happy to play when I get home, and Thursday is looking good for that, but I can make no assurances on this matter at this time

Vry happy to play either England or Scotland

Thanks for the invite LouLong....but with the holidays right around the corner, I'm not signing up for anymore games until after the holiday season is over.

Too bad ! But no pb.

Anyway still need 3-4 more players.

Did not get any reply from Aqualung.

Makahlua and 1889 are two more suggestions. Both very reliable players.
