I have withdrawn my ships to inside the Spanish border as a sign of good faith. The Spanish people wish to have peace with the Russians, not war. Therefore, we ask that the Russian naval commanders do not enter our territorial waters. In addition, we ask that the Russian Czar sign a peace treaty with us.
Yours,
General Marcos, Acting Representative of the Spanish People.

Can you not achieve peace with the Ottomans? Unfortunately Austria remains our main focus, and until we eradicate their evil society from the eart we dare not irritate the Ottomans. But surely the huge Prussian Army that is currently camped outside Prague should be diverted to protect your homelands from the Ottoman threat? We certainly do not wish to gift you Warsaw and Prague while there is a chance that the Ottomans will destroy the cities as soon as they become Prussian Our war with Austria continues, and we havfe captured Salzberg and Kosice.
As for Spain, our allies will surely forgive Czar Alexander for not accepting the word of the lastest dictator who has installed himself in the seat of power. Past promises have come to nothing and history has show that Spanish leaders generally don't last long enough to sire a child, let along honour promises!
Lord Rickety: Your unfortunate MPP with Spain has resulted in a state of war between our nations, as Russian ships have sunk another 2 Spanish boats. We make no apology for this, and will not tolerate a single Spanish ship being sighted out of port. We have humbly sent you a peace offering, which we hope you will accept. We also note that you appear to be having trouble with the Ottomans and rather than gaining Paris, have lost Caen to them. We trust you would prefer to fight only the Ottomans at this stage, so please do not send ground troops into Russian territories.

Ah, the dastardly Russians have ignored my peaceful overtures and sunk ships in my territory as they were withdrawing.
King Rickety, I hope you will honour our alliance and come to the aid of the Spanish.

Although the peace treaty has been accepted, my Admirals and Generals are peeved that the Russian fleet has blocked access for the British transports to Boulogne for some 6 months. This loutish behaviour of the Russian fleet has resulted in reinforcements from the Aisles being delayed, forcing the troops engaged in the seige of Paris to backtrack to Caen to deal with the unexpected Turkish diversion. The courageous British lads came within a whisker of taking Paris in May as well, and would have been able to do so if British troops had been able to disembark in Boulogne. One assumes the ensuing two months of resupply will not aid the Turks one iota against the vast British forces now arraigned against Paris.
Hence we demand the Russian Navy withdraw from the Chanell and stay withdrawn. It's not called the British Channel for nothing.
Similarly, should Russian troops get in the way of British forces in their march on the sworn enemies of the Spanish, Prussians and British - the Turks - I will not blame my Generals if they sweep the Russian hindrance aside in their impatience.

I have sunk a Russian ship and heavily damaged another in retaliation for last month's attacks.
I have sent a diplomat asking for peace from the Russians even though it is very clear they are not interested.
This is my final offer.

We seem to be at war with the British again. How bothersome. Oh well.....make peace if you wish rickety. That's what you get for signing MPP's. But don't on any account threaten Russian troops with your arrogant ramblings about getting in your way!
Paddy.....how goes the crusade against the Ottomans?
This turn was a rest turn against Austria. Festivities shall recommence next turn

The Royal Navy has been conducting a little spring cleaning of the Channel.
Before you begin your whining Sandy, read back, and you will find our diplomats have been politely requesting you to remove your presence from the same for some years now.
The Russians have entered my territory and destroyed a watch tower with a suicide squad of cossacks. Now there will be no more offers of peace. Now there will be no mercy. Now there will be only bloodshed and the cries of Russian widows and the tattered green cloth of Russian uniforms flapping on makeshift graves.
