  • Yes - the map trading restriction is a standard MP rule - along with no out-of-game dialogue before civs meet. And yes - I am happy to say that SR has agreed to 'review' our map for us. The instructions are essentially no island starts for any of the civs, and no horrendous starts, unless of course Arnelos is playing, which he isn't.
Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war .... aw, forget that nonsense. Beer, please.

    • Great... do I need to provide my email address to someone?

      • Yeah, you will need to supply it to whoever plays their turn before you (and thus sends the save to you). I don't think we've worked the turn order out just yet, though.

        • Ok Beta, put me down for my 3rd Civ choice....That of Rome.

          When in Rome...

Imagine that. Hmm, wonder which one I'll get?

              • I'm going to bed, people... I'm psyched to get this going tomorrow, hopefully.

In sort of a trash talk way: Prior to the first turn, if anyone wants to trade civs with me... fine.

                • /me picks up gauntlet in order to slap someone with it.... or attempts to, at least

                  That thing is heavy!

                  • Did we decide between continents , pangea, and archipeligo?

I quickly scanned the thread for that but did not see anything.

                    • Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that the map is going to be pangea.

                      • Pangaea sounds good... no boring-as-hell-islands-no-contact-or-war-forever like a certain 'Realistic' game I could mention from MZOnline.

/me looks nowhere in particular, expecially not at Togas

You are not wrong. It is pangaea. It was stated above, but I think it was in a post that had more than one sentence, and I'm not sure con reads those.

                          • OK - where we stand:

                            MWIA - Biblical Babylon
                            Beta - Priceless Persia
                            Theseus - Eternal Egypt
                            Kloreep - Gargantuan Greece
                            Wittlich - Raging Rome
                            conmcb25
                            Rhothaerill

That leaves: Hellacious Hittites and Consumate Carthage.

I suggest a play order as follows:

                            MWIA
                            Beta
                            Theseus
                            Kloreep
                            Wittlich
                            conmcb25
                            Rhothaerill

That is exactly the same order as the civ coices, which was determined randomly. I think this game is haunted. I missed Theseus being away. con missed the map being pangaea. Now this. Everyone - run for your lives before it is too late.

So - any comments on the play order? Kloreep - you are playing after me in a few games now. How is that working out? The only tweak we may want to make is switching you and Theseus.

And Witt - you seem to be able to play during a wide range of times during the day - so I thought I would slot you in before con. It may be a real stretch to get a 7 player game to go around in one day - but the trusty east-west set-up gives us the best chance.

                            • To re-iterate: I am usually good to play in the afternoons and evenings, EST. And I make it a special point to read posts with more than one sentence.

                              • What if it's short enough to be. One sentence but isn't?

And whatever play order people think is fine by me. I am in PBEMs where I send to Rho, and I don't really have a handle on how much later he gets them.
