    New Game ... Players Wanted

    Come, pay homage to your Pharoah!

    Play order:

    ric (Romans) 0900-1300 gmt
    MFC (Carthaginians) 1130-1300 gmt
    Beta (Eqyptians) 2200-0300 gmt
    snoopy (Greeks) 2300-0400 gmt
    con (Sumerians) 2400- 0500 gmt
    Wittlich (Persians) 0100-0600 gmt
    BigFree (Babylonians) 0100-0600 gmt

    Whereas, I departed the PTW Classics game much earlier than anticipated, , and;

    Whereas, it is summer and a lot of pbem's have slowed, ,and ;

    Whereas, the classic civs are still some of the most interesting,, and;

    Whereas, I finally got around to seeing Troy the other night,, and;

    Therefore be it determined that a new C3C Classics game is starting.

    This will be a seven player game; myself and 6 others. (I am not a huge fan of the four player tourney style of games. My most interesting games have been the 6 and 7 player games. And 8 just seems to be too much, for some reason. Who was that 8th player anyway? )

    Your civ choices are:

    Babylonians
    Greeks
    Romans
    Persians
    Hittites
    Sumerians
    Carthaginians
    Byzantines

    The map will be pangea, 80% water (the stringy one). Standard map size.

    Temperature and climate all moderate. Age 4 B.

    Monarch. Raging barbarians. Normal victory conditions.

    I have chosen the Egyptians.

    Come, pay homage to your Pharoah!

    If you are interested, in addition to your civ choice - (first come first served basis) - please post your prefered playing times so I can set up the optimal play order.

      Sumerians

      I vote to keep it to seven players, maybe even six.

      I usually dont go for more than 5 myself. Too much chance of it dying.

        I would also prefer if this was a "modded" game."

        That way if there is another patch the likelyhood of ease of upgrade would be better.

                        Sounds like fun. From what is available I would like to try Carthage.

                        Normal time to play is 1130-1300 GMT with a possibility of 0200-0400 GMT also (though spotty)

                          You just got em.

                          Welcome BF and MFC.

                          Lets get this going. Is someone doing the map for us????

                          Again, I would prefer a "modded" game. That way IF there is another patch, the likelyhood of compatability is greater.

                          Maybe Rhoth would do this one for us as well?????

                            Pharoah Betamax III welcomes you to this game. (and no wise cracks about my technology being obsolete. Betamax was far superior to VHS. )

                            And yup - I will ask Rhoth to do the set up.

                            If we are modding it - anything in particular folks want?

                              I say keep it simple

                              make sure the map isn't screwed up (one civ gets an island start, the resources are all screwed up) place the Civ's, and we play.
