My friends, I hope this communique finds you both in good health !! it has been another bumper naval harvest for the Royal fleet yet again, with three more french frigates and 1 transport ship resting on the sea beds of both the Med and the Channel.

I forgot to inform you both last time I wrote that our sailors endeavours have caused our nation to enter into its Golden age, which has had the effect of vastly speeding up our research and infrastructur developments

The ferrying of troops to Amsterdam continues at a pace, we are hoping our Prussian friends can hold out at Frankfurt long enough for our Musket troops to be turned out as our first redcoat regiments. Please advise us closely of the situation, remember if you are in great danger we will move imediately, but as you know our force will be far more succesful after the retraining.

We have seen no land action this turn, not a peep from the Frenchies, one wonders what is Boney up to ?

As a further package of aid we have sent shipments of gems to Prussia, we hope these Jewels will help to appease your citizens whilst you wage this war, we will send a supply of spices to our Russian friends in about 10 turns

I must admit that it is hoped that your assistance in the Frankfurt situation will not be as great as originally anticipated. Several Cavalry units are rushing to the area as we speak.

We appreciate your help, King Christopher. We should mention, however, that a close inspection of the mat showed that we have a source of spices and one of silk well within our reach. We were hoping to erect new cities next to these precious resources, though soon realized that our people are too few to divert from conducting war. Hence, we are training those unable to fight to establish colonies at the resource locations, and as soon as we do that, our people should be happier than ever.

As well, a regiment of cossacks we have diverted from defense is within one month's journey from Frankfurt. Hopefully, we won't be too late. Though I must concede, the reinforsements we are providing are sadly weak. On the other hand, we assure you that a new wave of cossacks is nearing readiness of battle, and will be dispatched from St Petersburg, and the surrounding cities with all possible haste.

Splendid news from you both, we report that no sign of Napoleans forces at all this season, strange just what is he up to ?

We did see a very weakened unit of Austrian cavalry running back home from France through the Southern Alps but no sign of any french pursuit.

Our first plan of action when the upgrading of units as been carried out is to move a force out of Amsterdam westwards to secure fully the English Channel, leaving Boney with no easy access to invasion plans he may or may not be harbouring, we would then look to do similar along France's western Atlantic coastline.

Remember allies dont hesitate to ask should you feel you require assistance in some or other theatre, the british will be only too pleased to lend a hand

Lord Christopher, you need not look to far from south of your Amsterdam garrison. At this time there is a small stack of 3 units trying to creep past Frankfurt ontowards Hamburg.

Lord Vovan, please know that your units have a right of way along our roads My people are gracious in having these valiant warriors passing through to the front.

Ahh the front. A Regiment of the Black Watch Cuirassiers have fallen to combined musket volleys of a French Battalion. This is a sad loss indeed, and one that was quite quickly avenged by a sister Regiment.

From the hands of my boffins, I pass to you both the skill of Nationalism. I hope that you both have enough gold to effectively use this technology.

Now I have instructed them to move onto Medicine. Yet as my coffers are next to empty, this technology may be some time away

Yet it will be quite sometime before we will be able to upgrade our musket battalions.

Your graciousness truly knows no borders, and the brilliant ideas of your people are equally unmatched. This new occupation your people call "policeman" comes in truly handy in some of the corruption-ridden southern cities. They will surely help boost the production of more courthouses there, as well as a couple banks. In the mean time, we were able to concentrate even more thoroughly on the training of troops, and hopefully will soon be able to provide more reinforcements.

On a related note, I should say, that we are aware of your kindness in allowing our troops to freely pass through your lands, though we found that the shortest route to Frankfurt from the deep in-land cities, from which we diverted this defence, lies through Austria, and its slightly better-developed road system. Hence, that is the route we took.

Indeed, well good for you on this discovery, that the Austrians have a better developed system. This is interesting news.

As you have no need for them, I will pass the word throughout my small land holdings that the road system is not required.

If you feel you will need my minor road system some time in the future, then please try to give me some advance notice, so I can attempt to re-clear them

What, do I hear bitterness?

Like I said, I diverted defences from mostly souther cities, so it was faster to go through Austria, than go all the way around in my territory, and then through yours. The latter would have taken an extra few turns.
