Did you have to save the file, copy it to a USB device, go to your laptop, copy the save to the HDD there, open civ, play the game, save the file, copy it back to the USB device, go to the Networked computer and send it from there, each time 'stopping' the device before removing it so as to avoid difficulties?

No, but my "8 minutes" is the point from which alexman SENT his e-mail and posted (not from when I received it) to when I POSTED in the thread that I'd sent mine. So it includes transit time for the e-mails and the time it took me to notice it when I was checking my e-mail. It was really just a happy coincidence of me checking my e-mail box within a few minutes of when alexman sent it and then playing it immediately.Originally posted by MrWhereItsAt

BTW, in the Silent 2-a-day thread I just noticed what seems at first look to be a 1m 50s save turnaround.
That's about the time it takes me to download the save, start civ and load the save.Comment
