Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
1776: Took care of that pesky no-war situation. Korea is now soon to be the newest Viking province.
1776: The latest Viking city: Sariwon. Took it for strategic merit; no chance of cavalry surprises now. (Well, less anyhow. Not much chance without horses, but what the hey.)
1780: Seoul falls after a protracted fight. Dang on worthless cavalry ... Why didn't we play with the AU mod version that gave a cavalry upgrade to 6/3/3?
1780: Ulsan falls quickly to our troops. Pusan should fall next turn or the turn after that. Inch'on a turn or so therafter, and then Korea is no more on the main continent. (Just Kaesong and Chonju, on an island off the coast.) Starting to lose a bit of happiness, due to wartime blah. Hopefully a quick exit for Korea will make it worth it.
1782: Pusan falls, after a short battle. Inch'on is next, and then we complete the battle by signing a peace treaty at maximum pain for the Koreans.
1786: Inch'on is taken, and the Koreans banished to the Isle of Corea. Peace is made, with max gpt war indemnity required of the losing Koreans. War is over, for now ...
1788: Celts fix that, real fast. Sigh. Perhaps they will wait for a few years to actually attack, so I can build up a decent force ... or perhaps until my successor so we can have a decent set of Tanks?
1790: Hmmm ... French are evil, and join in with the Celts. They take Tours. Moves made to retake; perhaps next turn it will be ours. Celts do little. Also, I move to put some more units on the French Continent ...
1792: Survive the french "assault", although they have an annoying tendency to do better than they ought. Ah well. Oh yeah, Hoover Dam got built at some point. Brighton (last english city on the mongol island/continent) goes over to the dark side (ie viking). Tours recaptured (barely, they may retake, but we'll be able to easily retake after that).
Unfortunately, looks like the Celts are sending people over in boats. I sink a frigate, but there are a lot more. We need a navy ... ie, combustion ... 4 turns to Refining, then combustion is next up!
1794: English add on to the team of "attack the Vikings". They don't really attack though. Warwick is pretty safe. Apparently the frigate destruction of one guardian frigate is enough to scare away the Celts, as their fleets went home. Weird. Another small fleet (1 galleon 3 frigates) is approaching our expandsion island to the south. Ooh, scary. I earlier reinforced it with 2 galleons worth of units. French do no damage at all - don't even take Tours.
In response to English aggression, I land a decent force outside Hastings, intending to raze several English cities (or take them, depending on how the attack goes). That will of course be up to my successor.
That will be all for today. Hastings is yours, successor mine; and whatever else you want to do to England. Perhaps France after that ... who knows At least you can torch a few English cities. And perhaps get the Celts to leave us alone ... Be glad we're in AU, since otherwise Democracy would be horrificly painful unit-wise, but still a lot of unit costs right now Perhaps some shiny new cities would help?

Good to know our score is so high. With only 180 turns left (less than 1/3 of the game!) we may end up with a simple score victory (unless we conquer Celts, because then we might have a chance at area/pop domination) ...
Grandpatroll, I think it's your turn. Play, and make our people proud ...

Snoopy. If you ask people not to break traties in a succession game, then don't do it yourself. There was an ongoing Peace Treaty with Korea, when you attacked them.
A general note. Now that we are a Democracy, War Weariness might get bad. We can't afford long wars anymore. For that matter, we can't afford many short ones either. Especially when we declare war.
