  • PBEM with Paddy - for those who have yet to play him.

    This game is for Paddy and those rare and unfortunate souls who are not in at least one game with him.

    1889 and Kloreep got the idea going in the Census thread.

    So - so far this game has three players:

    Paddy the Scot (sorry Paddy - no choice in the matter my friend. )
    1889
    Klooreep.

    You can only join if you meet the above criteria. I leave it to the players to determine the game.

    Enjoy!
    Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war .... aw, forget that nonsense. Beer, please.

      Well I guess I better join seeing as I'm already on the list.

      I'd prefer:

      a standard size random map, accelerated production, roaming barbs, empereor level, one civ each, Iron Civer rules, that everyone make themselves aware of the Iron Civer rules, I'll be Portugese, I'd like my civ color to be silver, I'm thirsty get me a soda and its too hot in Arizona.

        Ditto.

        I'd rather not do AP, but I guess I need to try it out sometime, so I'll go with it if overruled.

        Emperor level is okay, though I prefer the happiness of Monarch and Regent.

        Agreed with standard random map, Iron Civer rules and one civ each, roaming barbs.

        I'm not sure what civ I'll go for yet, but please make them Babylonian blue.

        Oh, and it's too hot in Texas too.

          Still, at least we don't live in Australia.

              How hot does it get in Australia? Is it actually worse in parts than, say, Phoenix?

                Right now it's about 12C in Perth on a rainy Sunday morning.

                But come back in February and you can fry eggs on the road

                  I dun' know. I sure seems like it'd be pretty hot though.

                  If any body else wants to join the intelligent conversation I'd say we have room for 3 or 4 more.

                    Every evening when the news is on I look at the winter temperatures in Oz and long to go there again. 17 - 20 degrees beats our 5-12 degrees easily.

                      As for summer heat....hottest temperature we've ever had in Perth is around 46C. Average February maxiumum is about 30C, and we probably get 20 days in summer over 40C. But it's magic when that sea breeze comes into Fremantle across the Indian Ocean!

                      In the outback, temperatures can go to about 55C I guess.

                        46C = 112F

                        30C = 86F

                        40C = 102F

                        Ya, Pheonix is worse. Plus it stays hot all night too.
