By the way, is settling hills allowed? I've seen in Dom's Jane mod it's off. I think it should be on, how's your opinion?

off. settling hills moves us back toward stock too far imo. spreading out cities makes the game interesting.

hopefully, we can just change the level without changing civs or map. if we have to change civs and map, Alex idea of allowing more expansionist civs is good. maybe disallowing them is good also.

I PMed Dominae when he was still online this morning. Let's hope he has the original biq file and we can just use the same map and civs.

We are currently 2-2 on the hills issue. I will abstain so that we don't end up with a tie after Gamecube votes.

I'm saying disallow because that would make fringe cities more vulnerable for elimination, again encouraging less sprawl, leaving more tactical decisions for unit combat instead...

I somehow threw away the old map, but IMO this new one is much much better. I also forgot who had which civs, so I just randomly assigned them again.

I loved my start in the other map.

I got the save, but won't be able to play till evening, as today after work a shopping tour for games is scheduled (for which I have to bribe my wife with movie DVDs ).

The game will be Everquest Europe and maybe some XPs, as I got an invite from a collegue for an online killing spree. It's pretty old, I know, but I'm new to MMORPGs. May be I like it.

The DVDs for my wife will be utter crap. Per definition.
