          ok, updated... no big changes.

          so we're playing:
          sabrewolf --> 1889 --> gamecube64 --> aqualung71 --> ...

          just on restarting: you can request a new start within the first 2 turns. if you send the 2nd turn further, you automatically agree to the game. remember: you've only got 1 veto, so if you chose to restart, you might end up even worse...

          only exception on the 2nd-turn-limit: if after the growth of your borders (10-12 turns) you suddenly notice that one of your civs is on a small 20-tile island or so, then i guess we'll all agree on another restart. this happened to swissy in the DtF-game (3 of us here are in that one) and it must really suck in his position...

          so to make this chance a lot lower, i won't do random water coverage but 70%... (or 60% on a small map, if you guys explicitly request).

            so this is my third game I'll be sending turns to you Sabre! Not that I object particularly, but it can get rather confusing. Would it make any sense to change it slightly, or would that throw out the smooth running?

              Camecube will be off the board for a bit. Please send him a email if you are still talking to him.

                  aqualung:
                  some people favour the same order of play for as much as possible (you don't mistakenly send it back to the other guy). some favour most varied order. it really doesn't matter that much, as long as we can get at least 1 turn per day through (but we're aiming for more)!

                  try editing the conquests.ini file and set the line WindowsFileBox=1 (default is 0). if it doesn't exist, just add the line. with that, you get default windows file lists when loading and saving where you have more options.

                  aqua: what playing order would you prefer? don't forget: being last has one major advantage: you can see the movement of automated and AI units. as first player, i can't even see into my cities while in production cycle ... a real bummer

                    actually, wait a sec... we once already agreed on a playing order (see first post):
                    sabrewolf, 22-24 GMT
                    gamecube64, 01-04 GMT
                    aqualung71, 12-17 GMT
                    1889, 15-23 GMT

                          okay, 4000bc to gamecube

                          i hope all starts are reasonable and we don't need to restart over and over again... enjoy the game and let the luckier be the winner

                              oh, and one more thing: i don't think we need a separate tracker thread. this one will suffice imho.
