i agree that a human player can do a hell lot more as japan. for example, one main idea of the game was that japan can play the first turn and totally destroy pearl harbour. now i don't know what losses redboy suffered, but i doubt pearl harbour was weakened very much...
but 13 turns VP-victory? and i was thinking of giving japan sid-level bonuses (cheaper production, more unit support) while the others play "normal"
true. i never had problems playing the nazis in wargames or terrorists in counterstrike. after all, it's just a game.
but some relatives of mine (i'm part bosnian) react very very aggressive or nervous to anything that has to do with serbs during the war time. although this was only 9 years ago and WW2 is 60 years over, i still can understand paddy...

we need to get a grip over personal feelings about the past, it is only another game of civ after all.
