I'll be gone from the afternoon of the 24th through the afternoon of the 28th for the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday. I'll be a 6-hour drive away from my computer and without access to any machine with Civ3 or any connection better than a dial-up modem. Yes, that remote region of the planet otherwise known as "Eastern Ohio".
Since it would seem likely to me that many of the U.S.-based players will have connectivity issues that weekend due to the holiday and travel plans (largest travel weekend of the entire year in the U.S.), I'm guessing that I won't need a replacment or at least finding replacments for everyone would be more hassle than its worth.
If people I'm in games with loudly complain otherwise, I'll consider it, but it's probably too much hassle to find enough replacement players for every U.S. player that's going to be out that weekend.
By contrast, I *will* be available over the Christmas holiday for continued PBEM play because that's being celebrated at my parents' place here in town.Last edited by Arnelos; November 19, 2004, 02:03.Long-time poster on Apolyton and WePlayCiv

... whereas I'll be unavailable for 3 days around Christmas and quite available during Thanksgiving (US) for similar reasons, but the opposite.<Reverend> IRC is just multiplayer notepad.

Um, i'd guess d:\setup.exe maybe? Not familiar with his computer setup, but it may be a simple fact of the paths not being configured properly - or the Autoplay not being fixed?<Reverend> IRC is just multiplayer notepad.

I maybe delayed playing over Thanksgiving, as well as a lot of The Americans here so I guess it wont make much difference.*"Winning is still the goal, and we cannot win if we lose (gawd, that was brilliant - you can quote me on that if you want.
