Seriously, win a diplo as a warmonger, with no excessive bribing... it ain't easy.
The greatest delight for man is to inflict defeat on his enemies, to drive them before him, to see those dear to them with their faces bathed in tears, to bestride their horses, to crush in his arms their daughters and wives.

I forget, but wasn't it the UN in Civ2 that would let you force the other nations to declare peace? They used to pop up and threaten me and say if it was not for the UN I would blah blah blah. I guess I am going to have to fire up civ2 to get a refresher.
Yup, it did that. Too bad in civ 3 it does not have attributes such as peacekeeping and the like.
I'm going to rub some stakes on my face and pour beer on my chest while I listen Guns'nRoses welcome to the jungle and watch porno. Lesbian porno. Supercitzen Pekka

hi ,
this is something they should get inside in the next XP or so , it should ba seperate civ or so , he who builds the un should get control over them , together with the other four biggest civ's , each civ should pay to the un or so , .... un tropps should be poorly equiped , cost loads of money , and they should be neutral and be able to move where they want , ...

Do you need to be in peace with all nations to build the UN?
No. In fact, you don't have to be at peace with all nations to win a UN vote.
I'd like to see a peacemaking function - i.e. "Bismark, if Hannibal gives you Aluminum and 15 gpt, would you give him a peace treaty and ROP?" If you barter the peace treaty you'd get something - reputation boost, gold from both parties (like a commission, lol), extra votes in the UN, whatever. I'm sure that'd be a monster to implement, though.
Nuke the city with the UN inside it, then invade and burn it to the ground!
I will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. You're predictable, mundane, and a google-whore and the most observant of us all know this. Your battles of "wits" rely on obscurity and whenever you fail to find something sufficiently obscure, like this, you just act like a 5 year old. Congratulations, molly.
I want a bit more than a movie, I mean what's all this "Build the UN, do you want to call a vote, click yes, click your own name, win (or lose) game." It's the lamest way to win, only good if you can't be bothered to wait for the SS to be built. And very bad if you lose the vote. (Thank God for autosave )

In the real world we have UN sanctions. How about giving the civ3 UN owner the power to hold a vote on sanctions against a civ. Lasts 20 turns and no-one is allowed to trade with that civ. Taking out their strategic resources would really be worthwhile then.

hi ,
sounds great , but like in the real world there shall always be civ's that deal with countries that have an embargo upon them , how shall this be reflected then , .....
The UN vote wouldn't be such a farce if the civs were not allowed to vote for themselves and with no abstentions. That way it becomes vaguely tactical.
Do not be too proud of this technological terror you've constructed...
