Okay, I miss Civ 1. so many good memories. And I can't reinstall my old one because it came on those giant disks they still used in '92. I got Civ 1 (again) from an abandonware site. Here's the thing: it runs really slowly. Come on, I'm on an Athlon. Why is it running so poorly? Is it a conflict with Win2k?

Try install the Windows-version of Civ-1 instead. Avoid the DOS-version.

The HECK you say! I play civ for windows normally because it is easier, but civ editor and civ map editor don't work with the windows version!
