I've been playing an uneditted game for way too long now and I recently decided that I was getting tired of the same old thing. What would everyone recommend in the way of mods around here? (there are just too many for me to search through myself)

i'm getting the blitz mod started again and i'm always looking for feedback, basically i am trying to keep it true to civ3 while improving on the strategy, especially on the military side, so try it out and tell me what you think, you can find it here

Check this out. 1-page MS Word document describing the changes I do.

Here are notes regarding my rationale for the various changes:
The Optimal # of Cities were originally for version 1.17; I have left them in.
Attack Bonus Against Barbarians I am adamant about -- you MUST do this!!
I reduced AI to AI trade because of the tech whoring I had read about in 1.21.
Fighter units have their defense upgraded so they can be used as interceptor bait -- hasn't panned out yet.

I got too frustrated not being able to use a single destroyer to sink a caravel with frigate escort, so I gave all modern naval units blitz capability. This also grants them multiple bombardments.

New for 1.29, to give colonies some action in the game, cities and forest planting, and commerce from roads are prohibited in Tundra (you can still build roads).

Hi Korn, long time no see
btw: What dou you think about 1.29 editor?
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?

I have...I'm looking to see what other people have done and also to change some of the graphics. I know people have played with the game quite a bit, but I'm too busy to really follow what's been done.

Nice lookin mod korn, just reading it on the forum. It seems to fix a lot of things I would normally complain about I'll try it out later if I can find some time. Yours too, Jaybe, if I feel like cracking open the editor again
