I'm going through this right now. I very quickly united my large continent, and then started preparing to conquer the other large continent.
Three long sessions later, I realize all I've done since conquering the continent is finally get all the troops prepared and in ships...

That is the Ox Principle, as practiced by Wellington. The problem wasn't winning battles. The problem was getting the soldiers and their supplies to the battle. Specifically, finding enough ox. I find that by the time my transports can reach a given point I've already signed a peace treaty with that enemy. And Fission doesn't help in this game...Comment
