    a definite no

Always considered this version of civ to be a sneak preview of the real one we're waiting for.

I DON'T enjoy it. I find it a pain in the neck.

The flood of settlers. Patch 1.17. Culture Flipping. Extortionate AI trade demands. Corruption. AI tech swapping. No scenario-building or cheat mode. And a lot more.

Even without Civ 2 this game would have annoyed me. And I don't care how many of Firaxis' shameless shills in the Gaming world give it positive reviews.

i find it boring, despite some of the interesting changes that were made from civ2. mostly because there's no scenario editor or MP.

          NO

i dont know why, but the people who say its boring, are right. It just lacks the fun and "one more turn" that civ2 had. i played civ2 for 2 years before civ3 came out, and it was always fun, but in civ3 i begin to lose interest after a few months.
The Civ3 world is one where stealth bombers are unable to sink galleons, Man-O-Wars are a powerful counter to battleships, and knights always come equipped with the AT-S2 Anti-Tank Sword.
