if they wanted to be Sid Meier Evil, they'd wait 2 years and make a full game of "Civ3 Multiplayer Gold" and chatge you $50-60 for it.

The graphics are as good as CTP's and TOT's

Until they are improved to either Civ II standards or AoE standards, I refuse to buy even the game.

And in addition- I don't MP (I have too slow a connection)

Hopefully Firaxis will put out a multiplayer that is COMPLETE and not charge their customers who bought the beta version of Civ3 an arm and a leg.

I fear it will be an XP though. I think it should be a patch, but I guess I'm just dreaming.

$100.00 to buy CivIII, ouch And the UU is not all that great Of course I'll end up paying $100.00 in the end too, and the F15 is isn't much of a UU either.

Other bright side I've played about 100hours so my average is only a $1.00 an hour

Actually, consider it is an XP, and the prices of XPs in the past, I'd say $10 - $15 US dolor range. I could be wrong though, if they were really evil it would be $40 US.
Heh... what if Firaxis goes the Sim City Unlimited route...

don't release only an XP... but release a "delux" version of the game... and ask for 50$ like they did for the original...
Comes equiped with MP and everything!

For me to consider buying an XP... it would have to have something PRETTY speacial... and MP wouldnt be enough, not for me. It would need like... i dont know... i cant think of anything that would get me to buy an XP... i'll just leave it up to Firaxis to surpise and please me.

                    WOW

It is interesting that 25% wouldn't buy one.

You should ask Firaxis a salary for your beta testing.

I won't pay a single buck for an expansion that include anything that should have been in the game in the first place.
And I'll gladly take the warez version this kind of expansion is released.

The best anti-piracy not in protecting game with patches or safedisk or so (things that hackers crack in days, and so are useful only to shoot down the CD reader of people that bought the game). The best anti-piracy way is to release good and complete game.
As long as I won't be offered to buy a good and complete game, I'll keep my money firmly in my hand.

Hes right. No one is ENTITLED to a product. If Firaxis decided to have crap published, then crap they will publish. But that crap is still a good which is intended to be sold, not taken.
