Bomber/Stealth Bomber is my #1 choice. Missle or nuke cost too much.

      Artillery rock!
I like CIV 3's corruption, combat system, cultural assimilation and AI.

I like Artillery because I usually have a lot of Catapults and then Cannons already built, so I can just upgrade them to Artillery. Thus I already have a lot ready, whereas a Bomber force I would have to build from scratch.

On a sidenote, I think the extra range of Artillery over Catapults and Cannons is real important. Often this means I can attack a city one turn sooner than I could with the Catapults/Cannons. Since combined arms stacks move so slow, this is very nice.

Bombers are cool though ... if I don't have a large army already built by then, and had to build everything from scratch anyway, I would probably choose Bombers.

Artillery, definetely. The increased range brings bombardment units to a whole new level. They go great with railroad of course.

              Nukes.
They are the most cost-effective units in the game

              Ok, ok, bombers.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

Ah, bombardment experts, I need you help.

Seeing as F15's defend against bombers, stealth bombers bomb everything, what the hell is the point of the stealth fighter? It doesn't act like a fighter, and it can't bomb ****. Am I missing something?

And why the hell can't F15 fly over to an enemy base and engage in dog fights to clear up space for bombers?

Stealth fighter: Well, at least they can Recon ...
I understand that they can also do precision bombing, not that I have ever done that. Unless their strength has been increased with 1.17, they are quite impotent. Personally, I might take a look at editing it's bombardment to compensate for the doubled values that infrastructure has in 1.17.

Offensive Air Superiority Missions are performed by using fighter-type aircraft to Recon and Bombard near a city where the enemy fighters are based, provoking an intercept mission (50% chance). If they are intercepted, it uses up the interceptors use for that turn so you can bring in your bombers. Unfortunately, your fighter will be defending, not attacking and so probably will be lost.

                    Ah, thank you very gladly!

I think that once you get precision bombing, stealth bombers can precision too, so really, what is the point? Maybe they are cheaper, but they are also less powerful.

Waste of space and programming if you ask me.

In a rapidly developing offensive, Artillery are still useful while Bombers are waiting round in your cities for enemy counter-attacks.

Big threat, those enemy counter attacks.

Nukes are my favor for bombing since they can actually do some damage when alone. The others needs an army before they can do any harm to the enemy.

Bombers for me. Yes you need army to back them up, but if you've done enough bombing before hand you don't need very much army.

Naval bombardment has been the most important bombardment unit in my games. Even with ironclads you can obliterate enemy improvements near coastal cities. Bombers have better range of course but only arrive very late in the game. Artillery is very important, but I have yet to make SP artillery (I've forgotten the correct civ term). I've usually won (or occasionally lost) before making any!

What I ment was you need an army of bombers/ships, etc to make the enemy notice your invasion (or defence).
