Well, if consumers are supposed to complain when they don't like something, then equally consumers are supposed to praise something they like. Word of mouth works both ways, good or bad.

So both sides are doing their part in debating this here.

Well we were having intelligent discussions until you and your little gang of friends decided to come in here and begin the spam attack. I said it before and I'll say it again, if you don't like the opinions and citicism then don't read it. Ming, it's obvious that he can't win any arguments in here so he'd rather spam it up so that you close the whole thread down, essentially taking us all down with him! I admit I contributed to thier imature level but I now have better things to do than waste keystrokes on the un-productive. Thanks for your assistance Ming.

Yeah but debates and criticism are attempts to improve the situation as well as the game. When you guys come in here and blab off about how much you like the game, all your trying to do is supress the criticism by measily attempting to overpower us with praise of it. If you want to praise it, go praise it with other appraisilists or fanboys, people who have something in common with you! Don't come in here and banter off about how good the game is - in essence gloating over us and supressing our issues, because when you supress something it eventually bursts. Let the critics talk with critics, and the fanboys with the fanboys. To mix the two would only suggest - trouble makers and dectracting trolls. We don't want to hear you and you don't want to hear us, so select the posts that you agree with and reply to them. But don't interfere with the critics and their goals. We obviously have more to gain, since you guys are already "happy". We on the other hand are "not happy" let us be.

Even if we accept your idea of segregation, why should I leave when I see at least as many people in this thread who like the game? Why shouldn't you be the one to take a walk?

Your argument has more holes than Bill Clinton has had women. I'm not doing any suppressing, I've never suggested that you don't have the right to post, I've merely stated what I feel are the flaws in other people's arguments. If that's "suppression" then too bad, in the real world people's ideas get put to the test and if they don't hold up to logic and fail to make the grade, then they often get thrown out. I guess you could call this "suppression".

Yes, in not agreeing with you maybe I'm missing something. Well you know what? They laughed at Einstein. They laughed at Newton. But they also laughed at Bozo the clown.

I humbly submit that if you don't like people posting positive things about the game then you should "procreate in another location".

Sure does, but you 'hi-jacked' my post and start foaming at the mouth when I merely mentioned Firaxis' bad PR or the fact that I didn't care much for Civ3. Who's leaning on who!

First, I don't see what you see - again the 'pissing contest' "there are more poeple that like the game than hate it" crap. I've taken poll and it looks clearly obvious there is a hell of alot more negativity toward Civ3 than there is posativity - ask Ming he'll tell you. But in the least you can count can't you?

Let's go through this one more time "I've merely stated what I feel are the flaws in other people's arguments" If this is true then you just kicked yourself in the ass, because you mentioned to me that "flaws" are not "facts" only "opinions" so what you're really saying is that since your opinion doesn't jive with someone else's you have the right to argue with them and cut them down (or attempt to). And the only thing that I find "too bad" is your lack of respect for the fan community which obviously has serious issues with this game product, and you stand directly in defiance of that. As far as I'm concerned you're fully exposed now and a large target! And we'll see if you make the grade!

Nope sorry, I'm not going anywhere. As the forum topic goes "Why no responses by Firaxis?" I am in here to debate and discuss that and only that. You're here to juggle and entertain, I look forward to this.
