    @vanator

    I suppose they call this one a graphic card issue - so it's (y)our problem...

    @all
    I still remember the days of CTP1... you want to blame me for that one? go ahead. you can't deny I'm right.

      whose "vanator"?????

      The Science Advisor problem is an identified (by players and Firaxis) bug. I was hoping to be able to play Civ3 with Marla's excelent map (accurate landmasses, correct starting positions) but while the scenario works the science advisor is still broke

          I downloaded from Civ3.com at 25kbps before the rush. (took 4.5 minutes) . You need to be faster, or slower next time.

            It appears that 1.16f's corruption reduction is occuring in a previously saved game (perhaps 10-15% difference in a remote city). May shave 50 turns off a Forbidden Palace construction (yeah!)

                And now for something completely different (for me)!

                Dear Dan & Fellow Firaxians,
                Let it be known that the 1.16f Civ3 Editor Help/Documentation still 'bleeps' eggs!

                BTW, I know how it can be when you are involved and 'too familiar' with a subject. I'll get to specific examples of how it is 'as clear as mud' later (I hope), but right now I'm playing the game, not with the editor.

                An independent documentation 'booklet' would be totally acceptable. All in one place, please. Not spread around in a forum, thank you.

                What's 'totally different?' Why, the 'complaint' of course!

                  I just experienced my first crash in Civ3 and that was after installing the patch, it may just be a coincidence (I was losing that game anyway so I was thinking of quitting to desktop ).

                  In the game I'm playing now as the Babylonians I took a Zulu city of one population and the city was automatically destroyed, I didn't get the chance to choose if I wanted to keep it, I did get the message saying how much gold I had gotten. I never experienced this before the patch.
                  Is it a feature or a bug?

                  Anyway, thanks for the patch!

                    One of the changes that I have noticed is that the patch seems to revert one of the changes back to Civ 2. I am speaking of the automatic destruction of a city of size 1 when it is captured. Also, it is not even an option in the editor. I hope that in the next version of the patch that Firaxis will allow us to decide if we want this.

                    Besides that, I love the new patch.

                      Nice to see Firaxis is keeping busy fiddling with minor aspects of the game while great big hulking bugs still exist...

                          The relationship (and trade) lines in the forein advisor screen totaly disappear after you open the military advisor page.
                          I need to reload my game to see them again.
                          i've noticedthe same problem, the lines in the forign advisor dissapear the second time you go to the advisor. you need to restart the program to see them again. this was only after the patch was applied.

                          i'm running w2k pro with a mobility m3 vid card (ati) and 128 megs of memory.

                            Yes I agree with Shuttleswo!!!!

                            Same thing happened to me, so I restarted the computer and then it worked fine. If that still doesn't work then re-install and then restart BEFORE loading up Civ3.

                            If it STILL doesn't work make DAMN sure you KEEP THE PATH FILE NAME the game suggests when you first install- I have found that changing it causes loads of problems.

                              docken, shuttleswo,

                              I am pleased to see that I am not the only one who has
                              experienced this problem. May be there is someone who has found a workaround?

                                To me it seem to be fixed after I installed the updated version.
