First, if you haven't already, please check out the List we sent to Firaxis while they were still very much making the game:
And for even more excitement, take a look at the list that was then voted on for our most wanted items. Wow! Some if it is so obviously part of Civ 3!
FIRAXIS, THIS IS THE ESSENTIAL CIV3!
(27 March 2000, 15:16 EST/Civ3) After lot's of discussion and voting, this is the Essential Civ3 List: the fixes that need be done and the new ideas that must be in Civ3 in order to deserve the number "3" in it's title. The number next to each item is the votes it got in the final vote:

(Note: it's pretty encouranging to see that the first two fixes(trade and diplomacy) were already mentioned in Sid's recent message as things where there is going to be lots of improvement)
Since we will very soon start playing the game (well, some of us are waiting for the MP release), we will be able to see who many items from the List were either taken directly from us fans or reflects what we were thinking. Of course, some of these things we can confirm NOW.
VOLUNTEERS: Please go through this and as you find things that are reflected in the game, post them here.

EDITOR
- A Single, Integrated Editor. This is perhaps the single most frequent wish among the fans. A "Game Editor" where everything found in Text and Graphics files could be edited, as well as maps and scenarios. This would be a separate executable from the main game, i.e. not a "cheat Menu" like in Civ2/SMAC, but a separate executable.
- Simplify the interface. Almost everything in the Game Editor should be reachable either through a simple drag-and-drop system or through pull-down menus. Placing objects should simply be a matter of dragging an object onto the game square.
