Well, I've not played EU, but I've played that type of game before: detailed, cerebral, perhaps cumbersome (especially very detailed board wargames). If it's a game subject I enjoy, I usually have no problem with that. It takes the right person to enjoy a game like EU. Just go to EU's website; you'll find plenty of people who think it's the greatest game since Civ.

I know it's a game I'll like. I still vote EU II as my Christmas game instead of Civ III.

edit: Besides EU II is supposed to address a lot of the problems that were in the first intallment. See? It never pays to purchase the initial release of anything. This follows the point I made in an earlier post.

      I will:
      • surf the net and Apolyton
      • read some books
      • play diffrent games, such as CivI/II, EU, The Sims and SimCity 3000
      • and a lot, lot more!

I love EU, but the game always crashes when I try to quit! And, yes, I have the latrest patch.

I've been planning some stuff for Civ3 mods and scenarios, working on a new micronation, and some other stuff. Also been looking at Apolyton.

Well I plan on spending the time from now until CivIII comes out playing CivII and CivII Test of Time. I've also been playing a little Europa Universalis as the Ottoman Empire.

I just finished reading "Six Days in June" by Eric Hamel. Good book that details the June 1967 war between Israel and the Arabs. A little biased but still a good read never the less.

Now I'm reading "Stalingrad" by Anton Bevor. So far it's a very captivating book. This book doesn't appear biased towards one side or the other and the detail is great.

No matter how many distractions there are until release of CivIII I still can't wait. I want my Civilaztion III!!!!

Try "Russia in War" by A. Werth. That book is really really good. "Stalingrad" is a tad overrated and has some inaccuracies....

Those are the zealots to whom I was refering. They can get overly fanatical at times. Sound familiar??

Maybe I'll get it for my birthday (early January). Whereas I'll buy Civ3 without any feedback, I'll wait and see the initial impressions on EU2.

Im trying to finish The Prince of Machiavelli, thanks god ive got a girdfriend with who i date un saturdays (its curious, in spanish we dont say "a girl which is my friend" we call "novia", coz my chick isnt precisely a "friend" ), now im starting to play SimCity 3000, study a bit, and playing RPGs (tabletop) with my rpg party on sundays. And OF COURSE, after shool, the first thing i do is check the forums and the CIVIII section of Apolyton. Ahhh, and sending a LOT of email trying to find out when the hell is going to be released here, in Buenos Aires.

I take a lot of drugs, rob banks, and stare at walls.

Well, seriously though, I do take a lot of drugs because I have a medical condition.

I plan on taking you up on that!! I should be there (korea) in just over a year. I plan on staying 2 years, the first year probably somewhere north of seoul, near the DMZ, and the second year, at yongsan, in seoul.
