Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
I actually like being wiped out, fighting for every city, for every mountain, destroying all my roads to delay the enemy's invasion, sending out ships with settlers, hoping to find an uninhabited island or friendly nation where I can settle before my homeland is destroyed... I don't care if (when) I lose, as long as I have fun!
(yes I have been playing too much CTP2 )

Prince, It is a medium level. If I lose the game will be a real challenge, if I fail to finish I guess the game will be challenging enough. If I win I'll spend my coming games as deity.
Prince: I don't want to be completely outclassed, when unfamiliar with all the new aspects, but I want some challenge because it's not too much fun to get all the rewards without much work.
Prince, largest earth map, 16 civs, probably as Russians or Persians. King is the level where the AI doesn't have advantages or disadvantages (except for stupidity ), so I'll play the one just below that the first time. I don't care if I lose, but I hope I still last till the end (2050).
My very first game of Civwas on chieftain and I won hopelessly, reaching the maximum number of cities and vainly looking for the last civ, which was refounded on some island in an ocean. That is not interesting, and I want my first experience with CivIII intersting not just a way to get to know the interface.
Deity, its the only way to find out if they really improved the AI. If I get destroyed, then firaxis has done well. If not, then I'll wait for MP to play a challenging opponent.
"The greatest happiness of life is the conviction that we are loved - loved for ourselves, or rather, loved in spite of ourselves."--Victor Hugo
Those of you who are planning on playing Deity right away: prepare to lose. Even if the new AI has an adequate grasp on the strategy of the new features, that is a tremendous advantage for it over you who have not yet become acquainted with them.
