Blake, I'm very sure that there is a faint groan in there. Thanks for the Radar/Sonar correction, though.

This has to be one of the most impressive accomplishments in the history of Apolyton, well done Chris
      That's going in my sig.

You must not have many things to do either, do you?

Well I do have a hunch that the early chariot/horsemen sound comes from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I believe the exact part it is from is when King Arthur fights the knight that won't give up. Really! If you watched The Holy Grail recently listen to a chariot sound.

                Thanx CTG!

the marked sounds sound to me like a powerfull rifle being fired in a canyon or simialler confined space (you can hear the echo), then reloaded.
I suspect that most of the rattles are rifles being reloaded.
Also I suspect the drumrolls (maybe not the first) are distant machine gun fire. The second one probably a heavy machinegun.
And I just *know* I recoginse that drill noise from somewhere, but I dont think it is a drill. I suspect it could be a turret turning or tracking a target.

Ofcourse you can 'hear' 'anything' in some of those sound bites.

I have yet to hear Barbara Streisand, Regis Philbin and Mariah Carey sing "F*ck the Police" in these sound bites.

I think that the drumrolls are from the background tune, not sound effects. That rattle sound does sound metalic, though, so it might be bullets. Maybe the drill really is a drill and is the sound you get when you erect a new city in the modern ages. I'll change rattle to bullets clattering tomorrow (or later today ) because I'm tired!

And all of you better be watching Holy Grail!

I have never seen the Holy Grail. I was recommended to watch it by some friends today. What is it?
