  • What would ya build first?

Hi. When i begin to build a city, first of all i would build a temple, to get a cool age bonus later in the game and to see those wonderful border lines. Then, a couple of phalanx (if i dont have the tech, ill wait until develope it), then a worker, and at last, some city walls, and a ganary (if i couldnt build the pyramids).
    YEAH YEAH!

ahhh i love this Apolyton Civ3-Strategy foru... oh... my mistake...

anyway, first thing i'll build is a warrior to scout for a new city, then a settler (at this time my worker is building a road to the new city). when the settleris done, i will buiuld another warrior, and then a temple.

i will probably use my ONE WORKER until i have about 5 cities... but hey, i never played the game before and that might not work.

Probably a warrior, temple, settler and go on as events permit.

You may not be able to build a Temple right at the very beginning of the game, unless you are playing a Religious civ, in which case you'll start out with Ceremonial Burial.

Settler, because I'll already have gotten a free chariot out of a hut.

This is crazy! The game won't even be out for a month and you guys are already making detailed plans about your first game!

Maybe I should start making my plans so I don't fall behind....

Now you're just being ridiculous, everybody knows your empire has only two islands.

Just remember if you check the "Flat Earth" box to be careful not to fall off the side

The foolish think the eagle weak, and easy to bring to heel. The eagle's wings are silken, but its claws are made of steel. So be warned, you would-be hunters, attack it and you die, For the eagle stands for freedom, and that will always fly.

Don't huts sprout barbarians until you destroy them and then get the free settler / unit / city / nothing / gold / tech / enemy barbarian horde or something like that, and then a new hut appears in the fog of war? I thought someone from Firaxis said that...

On the topic, I would prabably build a few scouting and attacking units straight off, destroy those nearby civs and enslave their workers to connect my empire together, then I would work on culture, trade and diplomacy.

It really just depends on too many factors to state a simple answer to this question.

                              I just don't know.
