Hmm, these are the new governments I'll try to create:-

        Serfdom
        Theocracy
        Fundamentalism
        Marxism (true communism)
        Socialism
        Military State
        Facism

        And maybe some futuristic ones:-

        Electronic Democracy (or "e-dem" )
        Cybernetic
        Virtual Slavery (or "CyberSerfdom" )

Socialism is essentially Marxism, at least in Marx's mind, where he used socialism and communism interchangeably. The myth that socialism is different from communism was started by that Lenin fellow. Check out http://www.worldsocialism.org/dictwrng.htm

Neither should be governments, because socialism (=Marxism) does not work in one country alone! Those who disagree tend to set up oppressive governments. The USSR (Union of Soviet SOCIALIST Republics) was probably one of the worst failures of this type. They set up death camps, secret police, and if you think it was a government ruled by the workers, you're crazy, not to say anything of Mao and Friends' efforts, or Ho Chi Minh, or Fidel Castro, or Colonel Qaddafi, or Pol Pot, or...

I'm going to make a Atomic Age to Nanotech Age modpack, so my ideas for governments:

-E-Democracy (Genetic Age Version of Democracy, more democratic form of Democracy)
-Fundamentalism (Slashed down version, of course, good at culture)
-Corperate Republic (Best at economy, but bad at culture)
-Technocracy (Best at science, bad at culture, unhappy people)
-Ecotopia (Nanotech Age, Economic version of Fundamentalism)
-Virtual Democracy (Nanotech Age version of E-Democracy - True Democracy)

Maybe some others if anyone has any ideas.

Dan said that governments can't directly effect culture, but you can lower the cost of certain buildings (which can generate culture), so you could theoretically affect it indirectly. Keep that in mind.

                    That's good enough for me.

Hmm... Yeah, sounds like a better name. But it should still be Nanotech.

                        Serious additions:
                        - Fascism (sort of modernized despotism, more effective though)
                        - Socialism (some good and bad effects of communism and democracy)
                        - Theocracy (low, low cost for religious buildings)
                        - Confederacy (like the Iroquois, CSA, etc.; effects to be determined)

Fun additions (for modpacks and such):
                        - Militarism (supreme war government)
                        - Technocracy (supreme science government)
                        - Freedomocracy (supreme form of rep. and dem. gov'ts)
                        - Industrialism (supremely productive form of gov't)
                        - Texocracy (best government of all)

                        and possibly more to come...

Federalism. Capitalist. Just depends on the variables that could be changed. Looking forward to Nov 30th now!

That's the US release date I think. Unless we're really lucky it won't arrive this side of the Atlantic till then.
