I just had a look at the new screenshots and was looking for which year they where playing, but was I concluded, it took ages (ok a little shorter ) to find the small tiny line with the "year" number. I don't know about you, but I really think that is the wrong place for the date. I would prefer to have the date in the upper right corner away from all other unit text (and the space there is empty anyway). Take a look at the pics by yourself, what do think about it?

I only use the date as a guide to how advanced my civ should be. If I discover tech x by about year y then I know I am doing par for the course.
So anyway, where on the screen is the year indicator? One day Canada will rule the world, and then we'll all be sorry.

Hmm, i always used population as a gauge. . given that techs often go in somewhat different directions, etc. . interesting though..-connorkimbro

I'd prefer to ignore Gregorian year dating (i.e. B.C./A.D.) and just start on Year 1 and work towards Year 6000.
