  • A thing about the new wonders screen

I'd sure like to see a change in that screen (the second last picture in the gallery), nothing there looks personlized. What I mean is the pictures of the wonders are the same in all games, wouldn't it be better to have a picture of the place in the city where the wonder stands, this means surrounding buildings can be seen, roads can be seen, etc.

Those pictures get's updated from time to time depending on which time it is (What age the civs are in, your civ and the civ with that wonder) and the friendship to the civ. This means if you're at war with that civ the picture never will be updated (only as the wonder was built all civs got an up-to-date picture) if you're neutral the picture get's updated let's say every 100 years, friends each 50 years, ally, each day. And if the city is destroyed the picture will never get updated...

What do you other think, wouldn't this be a nice fluff (or what was that word again)?
This space is empty... or is it?

    ADG, I second that.

The screen on civ3.com seems a bit simple.

This gets my thumbs up, too

Surely it cannot be too hard to implement
A fact, spinning alone through infospace. Without help, it could be lost forever, because only THIS can turn it into a News.

It would be cool if there were handdrawn pictures instead of d pictures.

Yes, that would be nice. This could also make the game less USA-centered. As it is now there is a whole bunch of USA-wonders that have equivalents elsewhere.

I don't know about you, but I'd say this could be a great step to make Civilization change each game and make it feal more world alike. What I mean with this is; In the real world (Does that one exist ) people know that Hoover Dam is in USA, people know that The Great Wall is in China, people know that the Pyramids is in Egypt, but in Civ games and ctp games this fealing doesn't exist, you only know if that wonder is in your country or not and the thing is, you don't even remember which wonders you succeded to built before someone else, this just don't give a fealing to be the ruler of a country...

This is proberly too late to implent now, but it could easily (I believe) be included in an upcomming patch

yea and it would be cool if the foriegn minister form civ 2 was on that screen sucking on a bananna, with your palace in the background, and a full scale map of the world to the left, and a powergraph somewhere, and a diplomacy center in the palace, and millions of small pictures, too small to see. and the entire screen should be made of a mosaic of pictures of the civ team, no, only sid. billions and billions of tiny pictures of sid, no, the same picture of sid. over and over. and there should be music in that screen. and when you play it backwards it should say "believe in sid, trust in sid, sid is god" over and over and over. and lets not forget that foriegn advisor with the bananna, the longer you are in the screen the more she does with the bananna.

SIMPLE SCREENS COULD MEAN BETTER GAMEPLAY.

Both yes and no, if the screens are done boring (which they are in this case, only one house/statue and a lot of green ugly grass, that is just way boring and boring things makes gameplay go down

Sarcastic...why, wouldn't you like to see the foreign adviser "eat" a banana

                            id agree but

would we really want this to delay the game? its not important. it should be on a wish-list for a expansion pack..
