First we need Civ3 CIC, Civ3 FW, Civ3MGE (first called Ultimate Civ3), and Civ3 TOT. Then we can make Civ4 (still not including all the expected upgrades) and set the stage for Civ4 CiC, Civ4FW, etc, etc. Finally Civ5 will be the first one to really deliver the needed experience right out of the box.

Interesting idea. I do think that there are already specialty games that emphasize some aspects of civ more (for instance war games).

i highly doubt that there will be a 4th civ game. they dont need to, want to do, or have to a fourth in the series. i would say that no other strategy game series has had a fourth, but there is settlers. anyway, why think about #4 if #3 isnt out yet?

YOU FOOLS! THERE WILL NOT BE A CIV4.

There willl be a Civ95, then a Civ98, then Civ2000, CivME then CivXP.

Why not? Assuming Civ3 sells well another is guaranteed as more games that sell well = more money. And that in the end is what it will all come down to.

I agree with this statement. But just remember that if Civ3 does well a IV is almost guaranteed a few years from now. Let Yin know so that he can pencil some time in for a new list four years from now .

Of course there will be Civ 4. The question is, will there be a Sid Meier's Civ 4.
