  • Dan!!! Assuming Civ3 makes Firaxis rich...

In your opinion, would there be a Civ 4?

But also, what do you think of the commodity type system in Colonization making a reappearance? i.e. Military units being equipped with weapons.

One last question, when you guys get pizzas during those 2 in the morning programming sessions, what do you get on your's and what does Sid eat?
To us, it is the BEAST.

you have no idea how frustrating it must be if people start to ask for civ4 when civ3 hasn't been released yet

<Kassiopeia> you don't keep the virgins in your lair at a sodomising distance from your beasts or male prisoners. If you devirginised them yourself, though, that's another story. If they devirginised each other, then, I hope you had that webcam running.

Makes them rich. Isn't Sid already being driven around in a gold plated limo, throwing a trail of $100 bills everywhere he goes?

Let's see there has been a Civ I, and II. Now a Civ III. There was a CtP series and SMAC. So now if Civ III does well, will there be a Civ 4 at some future time?

Of course there will be. Whether Sid does it or not remains to be seen but there have always been sequels in the industry and I don't think it is going to stop with this reincarnation of the series.

silly provost, Sid, the kind lord, spreads happiness and peace to all nations he passes through.

he should really travel a bit more

What is likely a stupid question

Welcome to the civcop school for the gifted. Could someone please tell me what is different between the limited and regular editions of Civ 3? At the fanatics site the explanation of the games does not say. Is the limited edition different because of game features (as in gold over classic) or simply because it comes in a metal tin? Thanks in advance.

Oh, if you find out what Sid eats on his pizza, how will it change your life? Also, any college town has pizza shops open past 2am. Drunken, hungry college students just begin staggering home at that time.

limited= limited features. IE, not all the features we want, like MP. Limited as in limited playability, and limited functionality

I think that SoulAssasin is right to start the discussion of civ4 now, cause many civilization "hardcore" fans can see that Civ3 won´t match their expectations posted in the "wishlists".

More complex trade and recruiting system, "a la colonization", was one of the more popular claims of civ fans, but as firaxis, obviously, want a game that everybody could easily play (and buy), hardcore micromanagement won´t be in.

I think that in the future the civ saga will split in 2: the big company with the franchise will make civ games for everybody, and maybe some small company will try more complex civ games to match hardcore civfans wishes.

hey, you cant get everything you want, it's just not possible.

sure, there are TONS of GOOD ideas here, but you can't put them all in.

Canals. (worker builds, 4 tiles max).

simply put, Civ3 will be the best civ ever, even if its missing what YOU PERSONALLY THINK is the best improvement.
