No, no, no!! Multiplayer should be included! If they release MP separately, and charge for it... Well... Would think that many players would feel... A bit tricked... Is it really all about the cash(well, doh!)?

      I hope not...

I don't understand what all the fuss is about. Civ3 isn't just another game.

I would be willing to wait 3 more years for it and pay $100 for it and be glad to do both.

Not because of the MP enhancement, but because of the other goodies included

Buy more to have a complete and bug free program ?

Never. I will not buy this game if so.

CtP was filled with bugs, but its patch was free.

Only maybe if the total price is equal to the price of a normal game [around 40$] I will agree buy it. But then the program must but of good quality (Firaxis will have more time to implement the core system and the solo game and after more time to develop the multi-player game system).

If not Firaxis can put its game in [* censored *].

C'mon everybody!!!!!Flood there mailboxs full with complaints! Use mutliple mailboxs.....Goad them, say you will never buy the game without MPLAYER, EVER...SCARE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i sent them a very POLITE email, which they might ACTUALLY respond to yesterday, asking them about the mutliplayer, so we could get an official response ( or at least in my mind, knowing that nobody would believe me ) maybe this isn't what your looking for, but it will serve confirmation purposes well.

Oh, come on, thousands of people will buy multiplayer even if it's an extra cost add-on. I might as well just give Firaxis open access to my bank account now... I've been waiting 6+ years for this game, waiting a bit longer and paying a bit more for multiplayer seems such a small price to pay.

That would be my vote to, unless I knew that they would make a Multiplayer edition, not just an addon. In that case I would wait for it. But the poll doesn't have enough options.

Give me the whole enchilada. Civ II is not too old yet. I can wait for a complete version.

I will buy Civ3, with or without MP, but I will only buy an expansion pach with several new features in increment of MP. But this applies only if the rumors are true...

Firaxis would be foolish to ignore the fact that a significant portion of its customers gets the greatest thrill out of a game through MP. If they want to be seen as backwards game designers then I suppose that's their prerogative, but it would be a much smarter move for them as a company if they showed themselves to be aware of and responsive to customer desires. Am I being old-fashioned to expect companies to foster customer loyalty? I hope not.

Myself, I have not yet played Civ or SMAC in MP - but it seems a poor strategy to lure people over to MP by making it unavailable except through an "enhancement". So no: unless the MP version was full of great new stuff (and not a replacement version of SP that din't work properly, like MGE did), I wouldn't shell out extra bucks for it.

Even though I wouldn't like shelling out the extra cash ... I would still do it. SP is all well and good, but I really like the "wild card" of human influence that you have with a MP game.
