Well I don't want it to be like civ1, which is demonstrated eloquently from this one line extracted from the game:

'Greetings from he who makes mortals tremble: Queen Elizabeth of the English'
    Speaking of Erith:

"It's not twinned with anywhere, but it does have a suicide pact with Dagenham" - Linda Smith

That's how I remember it - eventhough I don't remember her name either.

      Cleopatra was never pharaoh!!!

And IIRC the woman who did become pharaoh also took a male name when she took the title. The scientists still argue if the people even knew she was a woman. She wore the fake beard as every other pharaoh.

Cleopatra was queen because she was married to her brother who was pharaoh. Even when he died she wasn't pharaoh, but she was to be the regent of Egypt until her son could be pharaoh!

Hetsephut (sp?) was a female Pharoah, the only one I believe. So Pharoah can be either masculine or feminine. Don't know enough about Cleopatra to know is SHE was a pharoah though.

Also since Catherine was the monarch (not married to the monarch, since her husband died) I think that she is a tsarina. It would be nice to have female forms of the titles especially since we have female rulers.

Didn't Civ2 or CTP have Livia as one of the Roman leaders? I remember her being called Imperatrix Livia, but it's a bit hazy...
