Multiple Maps?

I´m just wondering, are there multiple maps, like in ToT in Civ3?
I haven´t been following the Civ3 progress very much, but judging from the screen shots so far, it doesn´t look like it. And I really liked that feature, it opens up many new possibilities.

I would believe no. Civ 3 as far as we know will not have space or seacolonies, leaving no reason for multiple maps ala ToT.
