I think it would be nifty if each unit had multiple images, each designed for a particular terrain or nationality. You could have elite troops putfitted as ski troops in the mountains, commandoes in the plains, hills, and jungles, and desert rats in the desert.

Civ, properly played should be in a dark area and the player should have a consistent diet of Doritos, canned beans and caffeinated beverages with absolutely NO CONTACT with the outside world (except for the 'Net of course).
