Civ 3 really sucks.

I'm saying that civ3 can be designed by anyone. I's another one of the low quality games like bloodmoon. I'm saying this by the lack of details, like the 3 yearold units like infantry or tank; the simple base facilities like granery or simple nation beliefs and mood like annoyed. What the hell is that? These factors are every thing to a computer game with out them every thing would turned into something like the punisher.

Well, that's certainly your opinion. I can certainly agree that Civ3 could have been a better game, but it certainly doesn't suck. I imagine you'll have somewhat of a tough time selling your viewpoint on a site where a lot of fans of the game browse the forums.

You are 100% right. The reason that it is so hard for me to get a game is that I always think that a game is either unrealistic or not enough units/techs. I coludn't even bare playing civ 3. (but I'll do it for more than $10 canadian/hour on my spare time.

The arguments are pretty laughable though, aren't they? You say that the game sucks just because it has infantry and tanks. Uhh, fine. Why don't you share any idea of how should the game be different?

Also, you manage to accuse bloodmoon of being weak without saying anything at all about it.

I am, by no means, a Civ fanboy. But I have to admit that it has some interesting features. Culture, in particular, strikes me as a seminal idea.

I can't say that it sucks - I would say that it has a lot of good concepts, but it sinks under it's own weight, Industrial Age onward.

Put in stacked combat, locked-grouped workers, eliminate infinite RR, tweak some other things (too numerous to mention here), and I would say great game...

I have hope for civ4 to get it right.

Yes that is what I'm saying the game wasted me $80 with the expansion.

i certainly dont think civ 3 sucks. yes, late game tedium is a problem, but any game that can keep you occupied for more that 100 hours cant be all bad.
