      I figure I am not an addict because I still don't know all the civs traits and UU's and starting techs. But if you do you might be an addict.

                    You know you're an addict when you cannot understand real history without remodelling it in Civ terms.

                    At school, in my Civ1 days, I asked the history teacher why Bismarck, having won the Franco-Prussian War in 1871, didn't simply annex Paris and incorporate it into Germany. It seemed very strange to me that he should have defeated all the units in the enemy capital, reduced it to civil disorder and starvation, and then cleared off home again...
