Mimi, I distinctly remember you stating that your spouse plays games too.

So he must know about having to wait for releases. I am sure that an adult, mature talk between you will result in your playing Conquests tonight

I know... I'm gonna have to put my foot down on this anniversary thing, for sure. I just gotta drop a hint about some other gift that I will enjoy even MORE than this game (ok, so it won't be "true", but I can pretend I'd rather have something else, perhaps something more romantic, for an anniversary gift). I think that will work...

I did already say that I really don't think I can wait until next week 'cause the weekend is between now and then and there's no way I can sit there and content myself playing civ3 when I know there's a bigger and better thing out there!

I don't let my wife mess with game releases. It comes out, I get it, period. She can buy me something else for xmas.

Funny thing is, as much as she complains about my gaming, she always offers to go get whatever game I'm waiting for while I'm at work, so it's waiting for me when I get home.

I get the feeling that EB won't have the game until tomorrow though. The stores always get the games the day after the "ship date" listed on their website. At least I'm off on Thursday.

I'm not too excited about it... I'll read up on what is new. I'm not going to buy the game if it just has a few more civs and one or two improvements that should have been in the original release.

Well, if it "fixes" the original releasee, isn;t that enough reason to get it? They have rejigged some existing civs, added new ones, added techs, Wonders, units, UUs, and added "Conquests" scenarios. And that's only the stuff that's been mentioned publically so far!

There are things I believe we still can't tell you until the game is in peoples' hands.

A time warp capability so we don't miss too much while we play?
