1. I really doubt that Sid is all that good. If he is, Jeff or Soren should get him in here to show off in an AU game (a. AU 208 or 402
, b. I'd even like to see Firaxis in action as a DG).

I can not see how anyone could get as good as another who plays all the time and is in contact with others that do as well. I am presuming that this player is not a moron, in that case it would not help to play all day.
The play testers could be another matter.
So even if he was skilled and knew the game well (doubious), I suspect that is not at the level of some of the aces around.
Now I agree that he is propably sharp and could hold his own and may soon get the equal of any.
Anyway it is idle speculation, but I guess that is what we do here.
