I want patches that are released worldwide simultaneously.

CIV3 Play the World, becomes "Civ3 Play everyone else in the US" or "CIV3 International Edition where you cannot play anyone in the US, you can't even play Multiplayer other than PBEM and Hotseat", not very catchy titles and not very happy gamers.

Opps, this was what we do not want......I do not want patches to be regionally focused because of some poxy copy protection.

Still enjoying the PBEM's though, thanks to Betahounds (I think it was him) workarounds to allow US to keep playing 1.14.

There will always be bugs that even they won't catch; lots of games have to release a new patch after they release the game. Like the Sims...that Hot Date patch did some major patching changes.

No kidding. That's what I had heard. And from a refutable source, too. I can't remember which....

It seems premature, but they are going to start Civ4. And I expect it to be much better than this bittersweet version.

how about when youve got units stacked, they're listed basically randomly. i especially hate this for carrier groups. they bombers and what not are listed everywhere and must it say "in carrier"? how about it says carrier, and then under it, with indentations what planes are in that particular carrier?

or when lets say ive got a few workers stacked. i want them all to build a mine, so i'll, out of habit, quickly click on the "mine" button 3 times in a row, only to have it go to a different worker not in the stack, and he'll start building a fortress, wasting a good perfectly good turn.

I don't want an opening sequence that I can't click through until it changes video modes. A minor quibble, but one we have to face every time.
