  • Turn 440ad Orders

Turn orders updated per rushing library in Irony and name of new city

    - The New Voice grows to size 4, Barracks finished. Next build to be horseman.

    - VCS Discovery moves 8-8-?

    - VCS Exploration moves 2-4-4.

    - Join Worker#12 to The New Voice to bring to size 5. WF should be three mined grassland tiles and 2 mined hill tiles to the south. Horseman should show completion in 3 turns.

    - Rush library in Irony.

    - WF in Seabiscuit to two hill tiles (north and south) for 2spt.

    - New city founded and named Eternity. Start harbor. WF to roaded hill (that is being mined) to the east.

    - Immortal moves 3 to new city.

    - Workers #1-5 chop forest. Shields should allocate to Phoenix.

    - Workers #8-10 mine hill tile they just finished roading.

    - Change luxury slider to 10%. Verify that The New Voice will not go into anarchy next turn. We'll be running at 10% for a little while, but pretty soon we'll have other cities that will need it as well.

For the record, the worker on the gold mountain was supposed to be worker #11. The worker that is currently mining the hill south of Phoenix is #6. Whenever that worker finishes mining he needs to be named #6 and the other one renamed to #11 (basically so I don't have to rewrite all my notes ). I had #11 originally slated to finish his mine on the gold mountain this turn so I was one turn off on his build.

Regarding rushing the library in Irony, I do not have a problem with it if that is the preferred option. Essentially it will give us the opportunity to grow one more size without the use of a worker. If that is preferred then I will edit the orders above and change my build queues in the other thread. Based on the gold we have and the cost of the library we will still have enough gold to rush the harbor in Phoenix per my revised orders in the future planning thread. Though after that we will not have much gold available for upgrading our horsemen to knights.

Also we need to think of a name for our new city. Some names I brought up in my Cadogan guide entry were Everlast and Eternity and I kind of like those. Since no one seems to care about the Cadogan guide in the main forum we may as well use one of those unless someone else has another idea.

Hi Rhoth. I CARE about the Cadogan guide and will be writing another section. I wonder if folks think they should not be commenting - a la SPIN. ???

As to city names - I vote for Eternity.

And I still like the idea of rusing the library in Irony. I understand your cash concerns - but with an additional library - we could always tweak back on research and save cash. It would be interesting to see what the cost-benefit of that looks like.

As to the previous post - sorry about the worker name mix-up. We will change that when we can.

Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war .... aw, forget that nonsense. Beer, please.

Eternity for the new city sounds good to me too.

I can't believe I started a new thread again. That's the second time I've done that. Oh well. Umm, just reference this thread for whomever plays the turn and then move back to the moves thread.
