The Pamplona Warriors are closer to Pamplona. THe Bulger Warior shouls do a zig-zag explore. It should move south then west, then south again.

Madrid expedition : NW (we could get a nice glimpse into ND's territory from the top of this mountain, then we'll go south back home)
That might be a mistake. We just asked ND to keep their Scout away from getting a good look at our territory and we shouldn't push this with getting a good look at their's. Madrid Warrior should move south and way from ND's boarder.

I must disagree. It doesn't matter that the Pamplona warriors are closer - we don't need something there for 4 turns. And if we find a goodie hut with barbarians, the conscripts are less likely to survive, but they can do fine as a garrison until Pamplona build's a spearman.
Also, the Pamplona warriors are closer to finishing exploration of the desest/valley already, whereas the conscripts would have to move north and then come back down again.
Could someone tell me if the Desert looking tile that is 2 tiles due south of the Bulgar Warrior is a desert or a Flood plain? I'm still doing the next city site map and I need to know.

Wow, I don't think I've ever disagreed with Señor Tamali twice in one thread!
ND has not kept away from our territory. We asked them to not move S between our cities, and we blocked them anyway with the spearman, so we don't know if they would have consented. Now they are skimming our borders and even moved through our lands last turn! I hardly think placing the Madrid Expedition on a mountain top outside their land is unfriendly.

Um, the tile 2 tiles due south of the Bulgar Warrior is normal plains.
Señor Tamali - are you feeling okay? Two questionable opinions and now you aren't properly recognizing map tiles...maybe you should lie down.
Sorry, I was looking at it with the partly transparent city overlay on it. It changed the color to look like a desert. Thanks...

Good. They won't have an immediated desire to come after ours then.

No, but they might decide to build a city that would be closer to us and have the Horse in it's boarders.

The Madrid Expedition moved NW, discovered game inside the Arabian borders.
TEG traveled south down the coast and found a new mountain range.
The Magyars continued their eastern expedition uncovering more gold and a bay.
1st Guardians of Madrid are closer to home.
The Pamplona Warriors ventured west into the desert.
The Bulger Warriors, instead of going back home where they belong, went south to find a NEW GOODIE HUT hidden in the highlands.
Pamplona grows in 3 turns and the warriors are 3 moves away, which was a slip up on my part. We may want to delay the growth of Pamplona 1 turn by micromanaging the workers the next two turns.

Woo Hoo! Another Goodie Hut!
That was not a slip-up, that is precise timing:
2590 BC: Bulgars move E
2550 BC: Bulgars move E
2510 BC: Pamplona grows, Bulgars move N into city
The city will not go into discontent in 2510 BC, it would go into discontent in 2470 BC if we didn't have a garrison.
As for popping the hut, if TEG takes a sidestep E, then the Pamplona warriors can head straight there and pop it in 3 turns.
E_T emailed the mods to me, but I think they're Sn00py's terrain mods. E_T can give you more info about 'em.
