  • Orders, Report & Discussion for 2640BC

I think that this will be the date of the next turn.

This is the tread for 2630BC. Get it while it's hot.

    [EDIT] changed the date

It will be 2630 BC. The interval is 40 years until 1750 BC, when it becomes 25 years.

I would like to request that the conscript warriors from the Bulgar tribe (or another of mighty armies) be moved temporarily to Pamplona to prevent civil disorder while she attempts to complete a garrison of spearman.

      thank you

          Orders for the slaves:

          When irrigation finished, road.
After that, move to the other cow and mine.

Whichever is closest would be okay with me

Señor Dejon (or other, if someone else does the turn ), could you please micromanage Pamplona to use a cow and Gold Mountain. Please don't leave it like that, but could you compare the times it will take to get to Writing before and after you switch it.... just to check the impact it would have on our research and let us know what it is.

Afterwards, please return it to both cows before the turn ends. When we get to size 3, using Gold Mountian could be and option. It nets 1 shield and 4 commerce as is .

            Thank you

As of right now (2670 BC), switching from the non-river cow (the one we're irrigating) to the gold mountain would get us Writing in14 turns while changing the next growth of Pamlona to 20 turns.

Adding only one more gold would bring Writing down to 18 turns, which makes me wonder if we shouldn't have roaded the cow first, oh well. The irrigation will be done this turn and roading will be finished in another three turns.

The Bulgers will be moved to Pamplona SOON, but we have a few turns until Pamplona gets to size 3, so let's use them to do a little additional scouting and keep that unit within range to return in time to quell any possible revolts.

Well, I was only considering it after we became size 3 as brief boost to research.

From now (2670 BC), we will discover Writing in 20 turns. If we switched now, it would knock 6 turns off that time. I expect that would decline with each turn we waited to switch, but it currently says Pamplona will need 5 turns to grow. However, the irrigation of the cow bonus should kick in next turn, so it actually will only be 4 turns.

I would only switch it over if a number of people felt like it was a priority to speed up research. Otherwise, the 3 WF will go to the forest tile. I just wanted everyone to know that there was an option there to get our research rate up a bit.

I thought it might be wise to clarify that from my scenario it is clear that Pamplona will grow in 4 turns, not 5 like it states now. The irrigation should be completed next turn and will start netting us more food.

So, if the Bulgar Warriors are to keep exploring, they can only move one tile further away before coming back if they are to be in time to keep things peaceful.

                          Just a heads up

4 turns, eh? The Bulgers will only go on a Three Turn Tour of the moutains, then.

If the Bulgars are to garrison in Pamplona in 4 turns, they I think they should go S, E, E, and then N into Pamplona.

And the Pamplona Warriors can explore the desest before turning S to continue searching the mountain ridge.
